How many participants can I bring on the same day?
The garden requires a minimum of 10 paying participants, and can accommodate a maximum of 30 participants per time slot. If you wish to bring more than 30 participants on the same day, please contact the Education Coordinator for options (e.g., staggering groups or registering for two programs). For Chinatown Walking Tour and Dragon Boat Paddle, we can accept a maximum of 70 participants per time slot.
How many chaperones can attend?
For preschool/elementary school groups, one adult per 5 students is admitted free. For secondary school/college groups, one adult per 10 students is admitted free. Toddlers and younger siblings cannot be accommodated. For adult/senior groups, bus driver and group leader admitted free.
Is there somewhere to eat inside the garden?
Food and drinks are not permitted inside the garden. Many groups eat at one of our adjacent public parks.
Is the garden suitable for visitors with mobility aids?
The garden is fully wheelchair and scooter friendly. There is also plenty of seating around the garden.
Where can I park?
Two-hour bus parking is available on Keefer Street at Carrall Street. There are metered street parking and a secured parkade on Keefer Street at Columbia Street.
Is the garden accessible by public transit?
Stadium/Chinatown station is a five-minute walk away, and both the #19 and the #22 bus stop along Pender Street at Carrall Street.
What if I have to cancel my booking?
Contact the Education Coordinator as soon as possible by phone or email. Without one week cancellation notice, the full booking fee will be charged.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made upon arrival or invoiced after your visit. The garden accepts cash, cheque, Debit, VISA and MasterCard. Coupons and passes are not accepted for group bookings.
