Just like Christmas and Thanksgiving in the West, the Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional events in Chinese culture. The Festival honours the full harvest moon symbolizing peace, prosperity and family reunion. “Moonlight and Mooncakes: Mid-Autumn Moon Festival” features family friendly activities, live traditional music, tales and legends of mid-autumn moon and tasting delicious moon cakes from
5 pm to 7 pm. As the sun sets, from 7 pm to 10 pm and the Garden turns into a magic romantic place, guests can send their wishes to the moon by placing floating lotus lanterns in the pond, watch the beautiful mid-autumn moon from the Garden’s ting and enjoy special wine.
