The Garden “family” of dedicated people, from all walks of life, are united in their love and support of the Garden and its programming. Without them, we could not exist. In addition to membership and volunteering, there are many ways to be involved in ensuring the Garden moves confidently into the future.
LEAVING A LEGACY
The Garden has many opportunities, large and small, to create something meaningful, whether a program or a physical space. We would be happy to discuss your ideas with you.
DONATING TO THE GARDEN
Throughout our twenty years, the Garden has been blessed by many generous people who have given support through financial contributions, artwork, furniture and more. The financial contributions create stability and growth; artwork and furniture enhance the beauty of our setting. Please click here for donation information >>>
In order to be more self-sustaining, the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden, as a non-profit society, relies on the generosity of many individuals and organizations. Whether as a media sponsor, a sponsor for our annual fund-raising Gala, our education and cultural programs or a tea sponsor, your generosity is very much appreciated.
HSBC Bank Canada Education Bursary Program
“A single tree makes no forest; one string makes no music.” – Chinese Proverb
The amazing thing about offering a wonderful community program backed by a committed sponsor is that it opens doors to partnerships that inspire that same spirit of generosity. The HSBC Bank Canada Education Bursary Program creates educational visits for 3000 inner-city school children here at the Garden, and from this we uncovered opportunities to address key areas that contribute to the overall experience for these children: healthy food and accessibility.
We are honoured and excited to have Sunrise Soya Foods as the official Healthy Snack Sponsor and CKNW Orphans’ Fund as the Safe Seat Transportation Sponsor for these field trips!

It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce HSBC Canada as our Premier Education Benefactor. HSBC Bank Canada has established a bursary with the Garden that will deliver barrier-free, curriculum-based educational and cultural programs for over 3,000 inner-city students in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
