The Charm of Chinese Gardens is an exhibition of landscape paintings by Jiangsu-born artist Gao Chen. Chen combines the essence of Western oil painting techniques with his vision upon the traditional Chinese form and environment.
The exhibition focuses on Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden’s scenery by reflecting on the beauty and complexity of the Garden’s design. In his artwork, Chen considers the harmony of opposites, such as light and shadows, chaos and structure, and natural and human-made elements.
