This week, the Garden is joyous to present Lam Wong and “My Art Philosophies”.
Lam Wong is a Canadian visual artist, designer and curator. His interest is primarily rooted in regional West Coast art history, with an emphasis on the development of painting and its avant-garde narrative. He is currently the Artist in Residence at the Garden. The first exhibition CHAJI / 茶寂, was an exhibition that celebrated tea as a gathering where people could come together to appreciate the beauty in the simple things of life. The second one, Investigation of Things 格物, focused on how two different cultures observe, study, and understand individual items and objects, and how they fit into the world around us.
Currently, Lam’s new exhibit “Luminous Garden” in collaboration with Glenn Lewis, is online as a Virtual Exhibition and can be experienced here.
