TED LEE - BOARD MEMBER
Ted was born in Malaysia, and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1981. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, and later obtained his Master of Business Administration from Royal Roads University (on Vancouver Island). Today, Ted is Tourism Vancouver’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Commercial Director – the latter of which is responsible for the front-line visitor servicing, Tickets Tonight box office operations and commercial projects.
Ted’s employment roles—both of which focus on championing the Vancouver visitor experience—mean he is uniquely positioned to contribute to the Garden’s growth. Ted sees the Garden as a uniquely valuable component of Vancouver’s cultural scene, and he intends to strengthen its links with the tourism community.
On a personal level, Ted values the Garden for providing him with a link to his Chinese heritage. Through his work as a trustee, he hopes to foster further understanding between Chinese and non-Chinese cultures, both locally and internationally.
