A Garden Tour leads students on an interactive, multi-sensory journey to discover the history, philosophy and symbolism behind our Ming Dynasty scholar’s Garden and home.
This program is highly customizable and can be tied to a number of curriculum outcomes in subjects such as Social Studies, Arts Education, Language Arts and Science (early years),

Garden Tour (All Grades)
A Chinese garden is so much more than a collection of plants and rocks. Enjoy a grade-appropriate, interactive tour of the Garden and learn about Ming Dynasty family life, philosophy, and arts.
60 minutes | $6 per student

Creature Quest (K - Grade 3)
What animals are hiding within the garden walls? Through fun and interactive activities, explore the Garden and learn about the cultural significance of certain animals. Then go on a scavenger hunt and finish with an animal-themed craft to take home.

Use our Garden for a variety of curriculum outcomes. In the past, teachers have used our space for meditation and mindfulness (Physical/Health Education); storytelling and poetry (English Language Arts); Chinese Language Arts and history; sketching and drawing (Arts Education) and much more.
