Our smallest courtyards and pavilions are perfect for the most intimate of events. Scattered throughout the Garden with views of both public park and private Garden, these little corners of heaven are the ideal spot for an elopement or other intimate gathering.

Whether there are ten people, or only two, we have the perfect corner to make your event truly special.

Ask about our Magnolia Courtyard, a stunning space for 10 people or less, that overlooks the Jade Water Pond and public park that neighbour the Garden. This space may be rented in isolation, or combined with our Jade Water Pavilion for when those last minute guests decide to join and expand your numbers.

For an event just for you and that special someone, speak with our Events Team about hosting a private event in our iconic Ting Pavilion, situated on high above the Main Courtyard, with total privacy and isolation from the world around you. This little corner of heaven is perfect for engagements, intimate weddings, and wedding anniversaries.

For those miniature events, we also has our beautiful Greenhouse, overflowing with stunning penjing plants, some of which are over 150 years old; as well as our Musician’s Pavilion, located in the corner of the Scholar’s Courtyard. These two little hideaways make the perfect private corner for your intimate gathering of just two to four people.
